Speech Class

As I said, I have speech this semester. It’s not that I think it’s going to be a hard class. I’m just not sure if I will be very good at it. Yes, I love to talk, but my teacher pointed out that just because you like to talk doesn’t mean you will do well in speech class. So…maybe I am a little worried. The first thing we are going to have to stand up and talk about is an informational speech that has to be within 4 to 6 minutes. I’m not too crazy about the time limit thing. There are times that once I start talking, it’s hard to stop me. We had to write down 5 topics for our teacher to choose from. Did I mention that she gave us this really scary, awful list that has everything under the sun to write a speech about? Well she gave us this really scary, awful list that has everything under the sun to write a speech about!!!! It has everything from television shows to aliens and from diseases to the death penalty. (I tell you what. Reading the list was almost like the death penalty.) But once I started thinking about it, I eventually got to 5. I thought about my major, Communications; my favorite author, Edgar Allan Poe; my job, Sonic; and 2 more that I can’t remember. Well she ended up picking sonic out of the 5. I was pretty happy with that! So now I have to write a speech on Sonic. I hope I do ok on it. Maybe I’ll post it on here!
