1. Important Summit!

So I told you about my job and how I work with Mrs. Dee Henderson.  Well, yesterday was a very important day for us!  Dee has been in charge of planning the Economic Summit for the past five years and yesterday was the sixth and I got to be part of it!  (and I got paid, so that was a plus)…It was a really good experience for me too.  I got to meet just about every mayor of just about every county in West Tennessee!  Dee would introduce me as “her shadow” or “the glue that is holding her together”…ha!! She’s funny cuz all I really did was follow her around with a smile on my face with my little notepad in hand…and everybody would ask me if I had my tennis shoes on and they were making sure I could keep up with her.  I kept up with her but my feet were pretty sore by the end of the day!  It was still very interesting and very fun to see how things work behind the scenes at big events like that.  It was also great to be in a big room filled with all of those important people!  Made  me feel kinda important too (ha)…But I think Dee did an amazing job with getting everything set up like the place, the food, the people, and the timing of everything!!  She got a little worried at times when the speakers talked a few minutes more than they were supposed to but that was the only time I saw her worry about anything!  She had it all together and she did fabulous!!  Way to go Dee!! Yay!!
