1. Orientation at Jackson State

I went into orientation a little nervous.  I was afraid nobody would have the same color dot on the top of their paper that I did.  It turns out, one of my old friends from high school was in there, and she kept me company.  The campus seems a lot bigger when you have to walk all the way around it twice in two hours.  The guides were nice, but it kind of seemed like a wild goose chase for the place we were supposed to be at a certain time.  Most of the time, when we got to a place, there was already someone else there, but it really didn’t bother me too bad.  My feet got a little sore though.  I’m sure that the student guides knew what they were doing, but when the tour was over, I had to go back and find where all of my classes were for myself so that I would know where to go two weeks later at 8 o’clock in the morning!
